Thank you to everyone that played with us and came out to support us at our LP Release on November 10th! Thank you to everyone that played with us and came to support us over the years! If you missed out on the show, you can get a copy of our latest album, Dirtier Harryer, in digital form here (and on iTunes and stuff, too, but it might be more expensive). If you want the real thing (in limited white vinyl!), it is available at Track Shack (1338 Tremont Place in beautiful downtown Denver), and it's probably at Wax Trax and Twist and Shout, too. Or you can order it following instructions on our merchandise page.

OpenAir 1340 had us into their performance studio for an interview and a handful of songs in anticipation of the album release, and you can listen to the complete session here.

Thank you for letting us in your ears. Be excellent to each other.

We have the records and are ready to party! Come out on November 10th to celebrate our second (and last) album, "Dirtier Harryer!" We think it came out great, and hope you do, too. Joining us will be our friends Space in Time, Dirty Few, Reverend Deadeye, Two Tone Wolf Pack, Chella Negro, Onemanna, and Dustin Reid. If you would like to buy tickets early (and cheaper), you may do so by clicking here. Set times are as follows:

Stage -

Reverend Deadeye: 8:00
The Dirty Few: 9:10
Space in Time: 10:20
Legendary River Drifters: 11:30

Lobby -

Dustin Reid: 7:30
Onemanna: 8:40
Chella Negro: 9:50
Two Tone Wolf Pack: 11:00

We've been tossing around the idea of getting a "party bus" with a keg on board to shuttle folks from downtown to the gig and back downtown afterward. You would also be able to party on the bus during the show. Tickets for the bus would probably be around $40, and that would get you admittance to the bus, a copy of the new record (on white vinyl), a limited edition TLRD t-shirt, and entrance to the show. If you would be interested in this incredible deal, e-mail us so we can get a head count. Thanks!

See y'all at the show!

We are excited to inform you that we'll be releasing our new album, "Dirtier Harryer," on November 10th at the Oriental Theater. It is being released only in limited white vinyl and .mp3 dropcard form. We're filling in the details and will keep you updated, but what's for sure is that our friends from Dirty Few have already decided to help us party down.

It also seems that November 10th will serve as our farewell show. Though we may get together to do more shows after that date, it's not unlikely that we won't. In any case, it's been a wild ride, and thanks for the support over the years!

If you want to preview some tracks from "Dirtier Harryer," head over to the music page.

Our buddies from Safe Boating is No Accident just released a new EP entitled Live Without Dead Time and it's totally awesome! You can listen to all four songs right here. Plus, if you're a River Drifters fan, you'll hear a familiar voice on the track "My Baby's on a Government Watchlist."

Here's a shameless plug for Curt's other band, The Taints. I know I should not do this here, but I (Curt) run the website, so I get to do whatever I want. We made a music video, and it's awesome, so check it out.

After almost five months off of live gigs, we're back and ready to kick asses off. On March 4th, we're going to probably burn Steamboat Springs down with our friends from A. Tom Collins. Come witness that at The Tap House downtown! Then, on St. Patrick's Day, we'll be returning to the Denver scene at the Larimer Lounge, playing with those handsome so-and-so's from The Knew! As if that weren't enough, we're playing April 21st at the Oriental Theater for Denver's First Annual Folk Fest. Legend has it that Paper Bird, Reverend Deadeye, The Chimney Choir, our buddy Dustin Reid, and many more fine musicians will be entertaining throughout that day. See ya there!

In 2010, our buddy Neil Haselton (who has since changed his name to Wolf - but that's a different story) set us up a gig with his friends Kendl Winter and Joe Capoccia in Olympia, WA. It turned out to be the most fun show we played on that tour, sitting on a porch in the Northwest with about 15 other folks and listening to these two incredible musicians.

Kendl, who is one of the best banjo players we've had the pleasure of meeting and with a darn fine voice to match, has a new record out on K today, called The Mechanics of Hovering Flight, which you should definitely buy here.

After a long time off for recording concentration, the River Drifters are booked at the Oriental for their 1st annual Denver Folk Festival on April 21st!

For an article in a friend's magazine, Joe wrote an updated (and mostly true) River Drifters bio. That's now on our about page, if you would like to learn more about the band's history.

Welcome to the new and official site for the Denver rock/country/americana/punk/acoustic/metal/blues band The Legendary River Drifters! We are painstakingly at work on a new album, which will hopefully be done this summer. We're talking about another tour for it, as well. There'll be more news on that soon. Until then, here's a preview of a rough cut of one of the tracks, called "Waiting on a Line," a Rolling Stones-y kind of tune.

If you wanna hear more music, check our music page to download high quality MP3's from our debut album, Into the Darkness. If you want a preview of our live experience before paying hard earned money to see us, check our videos page. If you want to give us a bunch of cash, check out our merch page.

We're on a hiatus from live gigs at the moment to focus on the new record, but are looking at some dates beginning in April or so. Check back for updates on live shows.

Thanks for visiting our new website!
